Open chart

Open a symbol's chart from a connected server. The chart opens in a new tab named SERVER:SYMBOL. Symbol not found. Check whether the symbol name is correct.

To open a chart

In the main toolbar server selector, choose a connected server (the list shows only connected servers). Type the symbol in the Search symbol… field and pick one of the suggestions. Keep Chart selected. Click Open (or press Enter in the symbol field).

The chart opens in a new tab named SERVER:SYMBOL.

Possible messages in this flow

Symbol not found. Check whether the symbol name is correct. Contract … is no longer available on … — it has most likely expired. (when reopening a saved chart of an expired contract; open the active contract from the symbol selector)

Notes: the symbol field and the Open button only work with a connected server selected when the chart contract expires, the chart shows the notice … expired — active contract: … with the Switch button
