Trading menu and order placement

The chart side panel (the button on the right of the chart toolbar) holds the order ticket and the Result and Robot cards.

Ticket fields

Market / Limit: the order type QUANTITY: number of contracts, with the − and + buttons and quick shortcuts (for example 1, 2, 5, and 10) STOP GAIN and STOP LOSS: distances in points from the entry, with − and + of one tick; below each field is the matching money value; 0 means no stop PRICE: shows at market in Market mode; in Limit mode, it is the order price

Buy … and Sell … (the number is the quantity) Close trades

Note: a value typed in STOP GAIN or STOP LOSS is rounded to the symbol tick when you leave the field (on the mini-index, for example, in steps of 5 points).

12.1 Market order

Select Market. Check QUANTITY, STOP GAIN, and STOP LOSS. Click Buy … or Sell ….

The order fills immediately, at the price available in the book.

12.2 Limit order

Select Limit. Fill in PRICE, QUANTITY, STOP GAIN, and STOP LOSS. Click Buy … or Sell ….

The order rests in the book and only fills when the market reaches the entered price.

You can also send orders from the chart context menu (see section 6.1): Buy and Sell use the clicked price and choose the type automatically — below the current price, a buy becomes a Buy Limit and a sell becomes a Sell Stop; above it, Buy Stop and Sell Limit.

Sending messages (Manual order notice)

Server … is disconnected — … was not sent. No reference price for the … order — click on the chart and try again. The broker rejected …: … … sent — ticket ….

12.3 Orders on the chart

Orders show on the chart as lines with labels

pending order: grey label with the type (Buy Limit, Sell Stop…) and an [X] to cancel open position: Bought or Sold, with the quantity and the result in points Take Profit and Stop Loss: the distance in points and, when available, the money value and the account percentage

Drag the Take Profit and Stop Loss lines to adjust them. With the robot in a ladder (grid) strategy, a green band shows the zone to the target and a red one to the basket stop.

12.4 Close trades

Click Close trades on the ticket (or the context menu item).

The button closes the positions and cancels the pending orders of this symbol. It is highlighted when there is a position or an order.
