Times & Sales

Times & Sales shows the real-time trade flow for a symbol, with reading by direction, size, and configurable filters. Time: time of the last visible trade.

8.1 How to open

On the main toolbar, select a connected server. Type the symbol in Search symbol…. Switch from Chart to T&S. Click Open.

Times & Sales opens in a panel next to the chart area, with the T&S SERVER:SYMBOL tab. If the same Times & Sales is already open, it just gets focus.

8.2 Top summary and quick filter

The top shows the symbol, the server, and the last price, followed by:

Time: time of the last visible trade Volume: total volume of the visible rows Trades: number of visible trades

The pressure bar shows Buy (percentage and volume) on the left and Sell on the right.

Important: the numbers at the top reflect only what remains visible after the filters are applied.

Right below are the quick filter and the advanced filters

All, Buy, Sell, and Unknown: show only trades of the chosen direction Filters: opens the highlight rules window (the button shows how many rules are active) next to it, one tag per active rule (for example ≥ 100 · Buy), with an x to remove it

8.3 Trade grid

The grid is read-only, with the most recent trades on top.

Columns

Time: trade time, with milliseconds Price: trade price Volume: traded size, with a proportional bar Type: Buy, Sell, or Unknown, with the direction arrow

Behavior

trades that pass a rule get its highlight color when you scroll the list or keep the mouse button pressed on it, the table pauses for reading and Table paused for reading — trades keep arriving. appears with the Back to live link; the pressure bar stays live with no trades, No trades on the tape appears

8.4 Filters window

Click Filters to open the Times & Sales filters window.

Trades that pass a rule get its highlight in the table.

one card per rule Add rule: creates a new rule (on, size 100, side All) Show only highlighted trades: the others disappear from the table until you turn it off

8.5 Structure of each rule

Each rule card has

switch: turns the rule on or off without removing it Size ≥: minimum volume for the rule to apply side: All, Buy, Sell, or Unknown Highlight: the rule color (the dots or More colors, which opens the full palette) preview: a sample in the Type Size+ format, for example Buy 100+ trash can: removes the rule

Example: a rule with Size ≥ equal to 500 highlights only trades with volume 500 or higher.

8.6 Priority, buttons, and common messages

When more than one rule can apply to the same trade, the first matching rule in the list wins. Put the more specific rules (larger sizes) on top.

Window buttons

Cancel: closes the window without confirming the current edit Save: validates the rules and applies the changes to the grid immediately

Notes: adding or removing a rule and turning on Show only highlighted trades are saved right away. The rules apply to the symbol of the open Times & Sales.

Common message

Enter a valid quantity for every filter.

Recommended workflow

Open Times & Sales for the desired symbol. Use the quick filter to separate Buy, Sell, Unknown, or All. Click Filters. Add one or more volume highlight rules. Choose colors that make your reading easier. If you only want to see the highlighted lots, turn on Show only highlighted trades. Click Save.
